I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) at MIT and a member of the Urban Mobility Lab (JTL), supervised by Prof. Jinhua Zhao. I obtained my Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Peking University in 2025 and my Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering from Tongji University in 2022. My research interests lie at the intersection of Mobility & Travel Behavior, Emerging Mobility Technologies, Sustainable Transportation, and Transportation Equity.

Research Areas

• Urban Mobility and Travel Behavior: Leveraging transit data to understand the mobility patterns and behavioural dynamics of people and goods; exploring incentive mechanisms and intervention measures to promote more sustainable mobility.
• Emerging Mobility Technologies: Assessing the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the application of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) technologies using causal inference and machine learning methods.
• Green Transformations in Transportation: Focused on technological innovation, governance, and strategic planning techniques to achieve green transformations in transportation systems.
• Social and Spatial Justice: In relation to accessibility to essential services, transportation infrastructure, climate and environmental impacts of transportation systems among different communities and groups.

• [2025-07] I received my Master’s degree from Peking University with the first overall ranking in my major (1/51), and was honored as both a Peking University Outstanding Graduate and a Beijing Outstanding Graduate (Top 1%)！
• [2025-03] My co-corresponding authored paper with Prof. Pengjun Zhao “Reducing the road freight emissions through integrated strategy in the port cities”, has been accepted by Nature Communications!
• [2025-01] My first-authored paper “Explaining the spatial dynamics and identifying potential risks of hazardous materials truck movements”, has been accepted by Journal of Transport Geography!

• [2021-07] I won the first prize of the 16th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology, the most prestigious undergraduate academic competition in China’s transportation field!
